The CAPEX Project Lead is responsible for managing all aspects of capital expenditure projects, from initial planning and budgeting to project execution and completion. This role requires strong project management skills, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Project Planning and Initiation:
· Identify and define the scope, objectives, and deliverables of CAPEX projects.
· Develop project charters, business cases, and feasibility studies to justify project investments.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and establish project timelines.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
· Create and manage project budgets, ensuring cost estimates are accurate and realistic.
· Monitor project expenditures and track against approved budgets.
· Provide regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
· Develop detailed project schedules, including milestones, tasks, and dependencies.
· Allocate resources and coordinate project activities to ensure timely project completion.
· Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
· Monitor and address project risks as they arise to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Procurement and Vendor Management:
· Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials, equipment, and services required for the project.
· Evaluate vendor bids and contracts, ensuring compliance with project specifications and cost targets.
Quality Control and Assurance:
· Establish quality standards and inspection processes to ensure project deliverables meet specifications.
· Conduct regular quality checks and inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
Communication and Reporting:
· Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including senior management.
· Facilitate project meetings, maintain documentation, and communicate project progress, issues, and risks.
Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
· Ensure that all CAPEX projects adhere to relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
· Obtain necessary permits and approvals as required.
· Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the success of the project against initial goals and objectives.
· Identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
· Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
· Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
· Proven experience in project management, particularly in CAPEX projects.

· Strong financial analysis and budget management skills.
