Job Description:
As the Import-Export Manager (Logistics), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless movement of goods in and out of the company. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of import and export operations, with a strong focus on logistics management within a processing zone.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Management: Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Import and Export Compliance: Stay up-to-date with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements to ensure full compliance.
Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize supply chain processes to minimize lead times, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Vendor and Supplier Relationships: Manage relationships with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other partners to negotiate favorable terms and resolve issues.
Customs Clearance: Coordinate and oversee customs clearance processes to prevent delays and ensure smooth customs procedures.
Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory control team to monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory turnover.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to import and export activities, including currency fluctuations, trade restrictions, and geopolitical issues.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of import-export professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental objectives.
Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for import-export operations, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to import-export activities, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in import-export management, with at least 5 years of experience in a processing zone environment.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
Proven experience in logistics management, supply chain optimization, and cost control.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for logistics and inventory management.
Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
