As a Structural QA Engineer, you will be responsible for work with Software Development team in the US to control the Quality of Structural Analysis Software including Truss, Engineering Wood Product & Management to accomplish the quality’s goals align with company’s strategies and achieve the customer’s satisfaction. And you will also be responsible for the Quality Assurance of Web-based/ Windows Desktop applications and work directly with our stakeholders in the US to provide support for Simpson Strong-Tie’s application development. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Providing Truss Software Quality based on the Designer’s perspective to make sure the software is working according to users expectation
The main responsibility is to test the whole components of Truss Software by walking through design’s process from start to finish including but not limited:
Test Truss Software on client server mode with customer’s database
Create design illustrations from blueprints to produce working drawings for fabrication
Design multi-family building project through software components
Check load and combination applied to the trusses
Complete and finalize designs for production and assembly
Evaluate designs to ensure that standards are being met
Review and analyze specifications, blueprints, engineered drawings and related designs to determine factors affecting design of wall, truss and engineered wood components
Report issues and improvements from the whole above testing
Break down requirements to develop Wood House Designing Test Cases to test all the specific conditions and communicate the request to automation team
Responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance thru the full project: execute test case, test scripts to test the bug fixing, coding and features integration
Perform reports to QC leader the progress and status of the assigned tasks

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor in Civil Engineering or other majors
Minimum 2 years in Truss Design experience
English skills: equivalent to TOEIC 600 with ability to comprehend technical documents and participate in conference calls in English speaking.
ISTQB is a plus
Have knowledge of wood house structure, frame, truss and connectors building / construction
Ability to calculate the Engineering Stuff in a Frame, Truss or a Beam with minimum instruction
Ability to design a complex jobs size M & L from start to finish
Ability to get the information in a drawing and compare to Truss Design softwares
Being a team player with effective communication with team members and stakeholders
Ability to work on multiple projects and competing priorities
Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner
