Job Nature:
The Safety Manager / Officer will establish and maintain the protocol for PRODUCT SAFETY
OPERATIONS (Metal contamination, needle management & metal detection, PPE etc.) in the factory.
This will involve working closely will all departments from incoming goods through the outgoing
production, to ensure the PRODUCT SAFETY requirements are met.
The Safety Manager / Officer will also work with the factory’s customers on any continuous
improvement / follow requirements.
Responsibilities:
1- To implement and monitor Product Safety policy, programs and procedures.
2- To coordinate with all sectional heads to make sure that all required Product Safety documentation
are up-to-date with the latest version, posted in the section and written in both English and local
language.
3- To carry out and update risk assessment with the assistance of relevant sectional heads.
4- To conduct daily checking and monitoring of all relevant documentation pertaining to needle
inventory control, needle exchange, up-to-date calibration reports for all MD machines use.
5- To ensure that all MD machines are calibrated by 3rd party on an annual basis – calibration report
need to be visibly posted in the section. In addition, ensure that “within shift” calibrations are carried
out, on a daily basis.
6- To coordinate Product Safety related training programs in order to increase safety awareness at all
levels within the factory most especially with regards to needle management and proper MD
detection.
7- To support respective departments in the investigation of all incidents pertaining to needles and md
detection cases.
8- To conduct internal Product Safety audits on a monthly basis.
9- To support all external Product Safety audits and evaluations.
10-To propose continues improvement program with regards to Product and Operational safety.
11-To assume other duties as may be deemed
