The primary responsibilities for the accountant will be expense and payroll in the QuickBooks environment.
The accountant will handle financial records for the company, prepare financial statements, administer and audit accounts, and assist team leads and CPAs in the preparation of tax returns. The candidate will work directly with the finance team and will have the following responsibilities:
- Undertake and monitor all expenses, payables and payroll transactions, and take care of related bookkeeping needs;
- Prepare reports as requested, such as month-end reports, expense analysis reports, cash payment reports.
- Control cash and cash flow within the Company: In charge of bank account management, reconcile and analyze A/R and A/P on a monthly basis;
- Take care of expenses workflow; audit and collect bills, invoices and related documents;
- Undertake Customer Receivables and Vendor Payables Confirmation: Detect any variance reasons between invoices and purchase orders and send them to the requester for verification;
- Provide support for preparing and reviewing financial statements on a monthly basis;
- Support compliance needs related to accounting (Tax declaration and finalization: Sales tax, CIT); liaise with Tax authority;
- Provide frequent status updates and weekly reports to managers and team leads;
- Help organize and keep track of property, inventory, and asset acquisitions;
- Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by manager, team leads, and CPAs;
- Work with other departments to obtain necessary information.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field;
- At least 1 year working experience in Accounting;
- Knowledge of IFRS or GAAP and VAS and Tax regulations;
- ERP software experience is a must (QuickBooks Online preferred);
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and responsive. Good at teamwork attitude, willing to learn. Open to feedback & improvement;
- Have analytical skills, data mining and ability to solve problems;
- Able to study, research, and analyze the workflow of an operational process;
- Excellent skills in Excel, Word, Google Sheets/Document;
- Ability to multi-task, a sense of accountability, and an eagerness to learn and support the growth of the business, willingness to learn new accounting tools;
- Can-do attitude, dynamic and motivated personality;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Be able to perform as an effective team player and also work independently;
- Strong time management and organization skills;
- Have integrity, be trustful, positive thinking, and openmindedness;
- Confidence and a high sense of commitment;
- Willing to work early morning or evening sometimes (meeting with the US team, helping with month-end reports, tax and compliance deadlines);
- Good English communication skills.
