The duties and responsibilities of Career Service Officerinclude but is not limited to:
Provide career counselling and guidance to students. Assist students in CV preparation, interviewing processes;
Receive requests and assist companies/organizations contacting VGU for recruiting students as interns and employees. Organize career events as requested by companies/organizations;
Seeking Internship and employment opportunities from companies, organizations for students and graduates;
Develop and manage relationships with alumni, employers of VGU's graduates in the database of alumni surveys and develop new partnership, new companies and organizations;
Coordinate to develop the online job portal of VGU. Update and answer daily the requests on online job portal when the portal is available;
Organize events/courses to help students developing career-related skills and experience, to prepare students for the job market;
Support students and graduates to secure a job at the end of their studies;
Inform other departments and faculties up to date with internship and graduate job opportunities provided by Student Affairs Unit;
Co-ordinate relationships and information system between Student Affairs unit and other departments, faculties at VGU about student internship and career opportunities;
Connect current student with alumni who work in a range of careers and industries, especially the ones successful and experts in their field and can support student to continue learning about a particular aspect of their career search and choice;
Connect and engage VGU alumni to enhance their experiences and opportunities such as developing platforms or activities for alumni to find business partners, mentors and to advertise their business.
Work with and support VGU Alumni Association;
Developing and maintaining systems and processes to ensure effective delivery of the career services and alumni affairs;
Plan and organize periodically company visiting for students and graduates;
Organize Career fairs to students and graduates.
Job Requirement
1. Qualification: Bachelor's in educational management or degree in related field
2. Experiences:
Minimum 2 years of working in career services, school counselling, employment service in education
3. Knowledge:
Deep knowledge in Career services, education, psychology, counselling
Excellent understanding of working with people
4.Skills
Fluent in both oral and written English, fluently use English in discussions/meetings and prepare English report
Excellent in office softwares (Word, Excel, PPT,…)
Good communication, teamwork, problem solving
