The Canadian International School (CIS) - a member of EQuest Group - serves Kindergarten – Grade 12 students where the Ontario curriculum is taught. The IB Diploma Program is also offered to students in Grades 11 & 12.
Maintaining the gym schedules and sports equipment with PE teachers
Coordinating with the K-12 teachers on what sport clubs they will make available to the students and placing the necessary orders to help facilitate them
Overseeing club days and activities at CIS and co-ordinating them with the Maple Leaf and Audri Centres
Staff Advisor for the House Council
Organize House days events and activities
Ensure coaches follow supervision policy of their team
Organize matches for various sports with other schools
Collaborate with other administration and teachers when and where appropriate to ensure smooth execution of the school athletic activities.
Other administrative and operations duties as determined by the Leadership Team.
Develop and implement comprehensive athletic programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
Plan and organize athletic events, competitions, and tournaments both internally and externally, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Coordinate with coaches, staff, and external stakeholders to schedule practices, games, and facilities usage effectively.
On calls and Duty schedule as directed by the Leadership Team.
Any other duties/ responsibilities assigned by the Leadership Team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in athletic administration or coaching, preferably in an educational setting.
Preferred Education degree.
Abilities/Skills
Demonstrated understanding of sports program development, event management, and coaching principles.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor student-athletes and coaching staff.
Knowledge of international sports regulations, safety standards, and best practices in sports education.
Fluent in both English and Vietnamese languages for Vietnamese Candidates.
Commitment to the school's mission, values, and ethos.
Understanding of the OCT code of ethics and standards of practice.
