- Plan, coordinate, and conduct supplier process audits to ensure that necessary process controls are in place during supplier assessment visits or on-going supplier management assessments. - Understand the supplier's current capabilities and potential new capabilities in manufacturing process and communicate to purchasing, engineering, and quality personnel. - Identify the supplier process gaps and drive process improvement as appropriate. - Finalize and follow up the development plan by working with supplier, NPD, AQE, FAI, SDE, OPM, Sourcing and any concerned expert teams. - Follow up NPD/Localization project in an early stage like Design For Manufacturing Review and Critical Dimensions Assessment to have robust action to ensure a smooth transition from engineering samples to mass production. - Maintain and update the supplier process development plan to match the new product development needs. - Communicates difficult concepts such as process improvements and changes and negotiates with others to effectively influence as appropriate. - Involve failure analysis and advise technical to the manufacturing team for driving effective investigation. - Provide weekly status updates or report to the project team, or daily updates if there is needed.
Job Requirement
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronic or related majors.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the same manufacturing industry, especially in CNC machining.
Good at both written & verbal skills in English to work with a global team.
Strong sense of responsibility and serious work attitude.
Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
Strong analytical skills, knowledge and experience in SPC, DMAIC, PFMEA and DOE
Knowledge in forging, investment casting, powder metal or metal operations is preferred
Proficient in CNC machining centers (three-axis, four-axis, five-axis), CNC lathes, wire cutting, engraving machines, and other metal processing equipment. Skilled in designing jigs, fixtures, and tools based on customer drawings and product structures. Experienced in CNC programming and machine setup with extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of CNC metal machining.
Familiar with CNC macro programming, capable of integrating probes and macro programs in machining processes to avoid scrapping due to product shape variations.
Proficient in using optical measuring machines and CMM coordinate measuring machines, skilled in writing CMM inspection programs.
Understanding of precision casting processes with basic mastery of precision casting techniques.
Familiar with metalworking processes such as extrusion, die casting, and stamping.
Skilled in operating AutoCAD, UG, Access database, Excel VBA, and GOM Inspect data analysis software.
Experienced in workshop layout planning and engineering cost evaluation.
