SEKO Viet Nam ( Ha Noi Office) are seeking experienced Commercial Manager to join us.This role requires strong leadership skills, industry knowledge and a focus on driving results

Scope of work:

  • Lead and manage the commercial department.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth, increase revenue, and maximize profitability.
  • Oversee the sales and marketing functions, ensuring effective client relationship management and expanding the company's customer base.
  • Responsible for managing the Profit and Loss (P&L) along with product management, as well as local market penetration and revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and lead a team that includes necessary functions appropriate to the company's development stage, such as Key Account Management (KAM), Business Development (BD), local sales, and marketing.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies and plans to achieve business objectives, revenue targets, and market expansion goals.
  • Manage the P&L along with product management, ensuring profitability and financial sustainability.
  • Drive local market penetration, aiming for a revenue growth target of 20%.
  • Conduct market research and work together with product management and the General Director (GD) for product/category development.
  • Develop trade lanes and networks, identifying opportunities for expansion and strategic partnerships.
  • Serve as the representative for the country in all commercial activities, maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Initiate and develop customer retention programs, marketing activities, and communication strategies to enhance customer loyalty and brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align commercial strategies with product development, operations and finance.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the development of new services or solutions.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the company's visibility and expand professional networks.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage commercial budgets, financial forecasts and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all commercial activities.

Job Requirement

Qualifications & Competency:

  • Background in Freight Forwarding/Shipping and Logistics (5 years +)
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics industry products and services
  • Experience in Air, Ocean & Road freight sales preferred
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Commercially minded
  • Individual and self-discipline
  • Maturity
  • Open-minded and aware of differences culturally
  • Self-motivated
