The Costing Specialist executes the product costing activities to ensure resources used during the manufacturing process are systematically recorded and reported in support of costing and profitability strategies: - Run product costing to ensure that transactions recorded reflect actual activities. - Analyze product cost trends at different cost component levels - Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions - Input information into Sales and ERP system: TGL into Precal, selling price into Axapta - Develop and execute the standard costing
Execute the product costing to ensure that transactions recorded reflect actual activity.
Record and cross check the movement of material (RM), finished products (FG), work in process products (WIP).
Calculate non-conforming (NCR) products, follow up the claim and record movement of NRC in system
Calculate over-size cost
Monitor and record write off of RM, FG, WIP, follow up the claim if any
Monitor FG return, provide price of FG return
Execute costing run, calculate cost of FG, WIP, prepare the COGS
Do stock aging weekly and upload data to local team
stock count monthly on RM, FG
Input information into Sales and ERP system: TGL into Precale, selling price into Axapta
Analyze product cost trends at different cost component levels:
Net sales report, other sales report by customer as requested
Oversize cost
Sample cost
Net FG return cost
Line cost – Overhead cost
Analyse and explain COGS, Value Added (VA)
Cost, speed, gsm of closed jobs
Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
Develop and execute the standard costing
Job Requirement
Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics with at least 5 years’ experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
Fluent in English
Strong analytical thinking combined with a strong business sense
Strong knowledge of enterprise resource planning product costing
