ROLES:
The Fashion Trainer is responsible for developing the styling capability, product knowledge, and service excellence of DAFC’s frontline teams. This role focuses on translating brand standards into practical on-floor execution, elevating client experience through styling expertise, and nurturing high-potential fashion talents to become certified professional stylists, contributing directly to sales performance and brand positioning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver training programs on fabric knowledge, textile behavior, garment construction basics, styling principles, body types, color coordination, mix & match techniques.
Translate brand training content into practical, retail-focused applications to enhance daily selling capability.
Design engaging learning activities, workshops, and role-play to strengthen fashion confidence and styling skills among Client Advisors.
Develop and update training materials, manuals, and e-learning content aligned with brand standards and market trends.
Act as a Styling Expert to support key commercial objectives.
Collaborate closely with Retail and Store Teams to design and execute personalized styling sessions and exclusive styling events for VICs and premium clientele, with a strong focus on top-tier luxury brands.
Partner with Retail & Marketing teams to integrate styling into clienteling activities, enhancing customer engagement and conversion.
Support stores in elevating on-floor styling execution, look presentation, and brand image consistency.
Identify high-potential Client Advisor talents with strong fashion capability and growth potential.
Design and implement exclusive development roadmaps, coaching and continuous capability support for selected talents.
Collaborate with reputable fashion institutes / academies to build structured certification pathways for Stylist roles.
Monitor progress, assess capability improvement, and ensure readiness for certification milestones.
Maintain training attendance, evaluation records, and performance tracking.
Provide regular reports and insights to management on training effectiveness, skills gaps, and development opportunities.
Stay updated on global fashion trends, designers, materials, and consumer preferences to keep training relevant and inspiring.
Technical Skills
· Strong knowledge of fashion design, textile science, pattern making, and garment construction.
· Expertise in styling, fashion forecasting, and visual merchandising is a plus
Soft Skills
· Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
· Creativity with a strong sense of aesthetics.
· Patience, leadership, and the ability to motivate learners.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
· Experience in fashion design, retail, merchandising, or teaching/training roles.
· Proficiency in English is required.
