Job Description

The Merchandiser oversees the planning, sourcing, and coordination of product merchandising to ensure the company’s offerings meet market demands, align with brand strategy, and achieve sales and profitability goals.

This role involves collaborating with suppliers and working closely with marketing, and production teams to deliver an exceptional product lineup

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and implement merchandising strategies aligned with business goals.
    • Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and customer preferences to identify product opportunities.
    • Prepare seasonal merchandising plans, including product selection, pricing, and promotions.
  2. Supplier and Vendor Management:
    • Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products.
    • Build strong relationships with vendors to secure favorable terms and collaborations.
  3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Analyze merchandising performance using key metrics (e.g., sales, profit margins, sell-through rates).
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Furniture merchandising, retail management, or a related field.
    • Proven track record in a managerial role with leadership responsibilities.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
    • Proficiency in tools (e.g., Excel, word, power point).
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
