Position: Junior Integrated Risk Management Officer – Risk Strategy team – Integrated Risk Management Center (ESG theme)
Job description: Grade 5-6
Function as a key member of ESG team to participate in and/ or directly perform:
Recommend and drive enhancements of risk management strategies, policies, regulations as development of new measures and controls to manage ESG and climate risks, to ensure in alignment with VPBank’s commitments and strategies;
Develop methodologies for climate risk measurement and analysis expansion (e.g. operational and financed emissions measurement, climate risk stress testing);
Derive the interpretation of expectations from key stakeholders and to ensure risk compliance with emerging ESG risk management regulations;
Contribute risk input to develop VPBank’s sustainability strategic commitments and ESG related disclosures;
Manage interactions with external parties such as regulators, lenders, investors, relevant associations, consultants and prospective vendors on climate risk topics, including regular reporting and updates;
Work towards building an understanding of new climate change products and services, including carbon markets, new climate change mitigation and adaptation technologies.
Participate in other ad hoc task assigned by and report directly to seniors, team leader and Product Owner
Perform different kinds of periodical risk management reports like report on Risk Appetite Statement and limits compliance status of the bank, stress test execution and results;
Support internal risk committee/council by preparing meeting material, periodical report, submission for approval from authority level;
Conduct research and analysis of change impact related to proposed risk management policies and processes, risk limit system to ensure the effectiveness of the Bank’s risk management framework under request and supervise by team’s seniors and leader;
Prepare workshop, meeting materials, presentation on various topic of risk management;
Responsible for presenting individual and team’s workings towards team, team leader, Product Owner;
Participate in other ad hoc task assigned by and report directly to seniors, team leader and Product Owner.
Job Requirement
Educational background:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree on Finance – Banking, Economics or other related majors;
Relevant knowledge of ESG and climate risk management in financial institutions (e.g. regulatory expectations facing banks with respect to climate risk/ ESG matters and other climate-related trends, news, science and literature) is added advantage.
CFA, FRM is a plus.
Professional experience:
1 to 2 years of work experience in relevant field.
Skills:
Proficient in computer skills, especially Excel, Power Point, and basic SQL;
Fluent in English (4 skills);
Exceptional communication skills (both verbally and in writing, in English and Vietnamese);
Strong analytical & quantitative problem solving skills;
Self-motivated and driven to produce high quality deliverables;
Ability to work both individually and collaboratively in a team environment;
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
