This role is crucial to expanding our reach and market share within the Vietnamese healthcare system.
Job Summary:
The Laboratory Business Partner will be responsible for driving business growth by leveraging existing relationships and developing new ones with key accounts and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the medical community. This role requires a deep understanding of the laboratory industry, strong business acumen, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess a strong network of contacts within the healthcare sector and a proven track record of success in business development within the medical laboratory field.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and key accounts: This includes cultivating existing relationships and proactively building new ones with pathologists, laboratory managers, medical lecturers, hospital administrators, clinic owners, and other influential figures in the medical community. A significant focus will be on maintaining and growing relationships with existing referral sources.
Increase sample volume from key accounts: Actively work to increase the volume of samples received from key accounts through strategic relationship building, targeted marketing, and collaborative initiatives.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Actively seek out new hospitals, clinics, and medical institutions to establish referral partnerships and expand Diag's market reach.
Conduct market research and analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to inform strategic decision-making and identify potential growth opportunities.
Participate in conferences, workshops, and seminars: Represent Diag at industry events, showcasing expertise and fostering networking opportunities.
Develop and implement account-specific strategies: Create and execute customized business plans for key accounts to maximize sample volume and strengthen relationships.
Manage budgets and track key performance indicators (KPIs): Monitor progress against targets and provide regular reports on key metrics, including sample volume, revenue generation, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless execution of business strategies.
Provide feedback and insights: Share market intelligence and customer feedback with the internal team to inform product development and service improvements.
Job Requirement
Job Requirements:
Education: MD, PhD, or equivalent degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, Biology). An MBA or relevant business degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with proven experience in a business development or sales role within the healthcare industry. Significant experience in a commercial medical laboratory is highly preferred.
KOL/Key Account Relationships: Extensive existing network of contacts within the Vietnamese healthcare system, including strong relationships with pathologists, laboratory managers, hospital administrators, clinic owners, and medical lecturers. Experience as a KOL (e.g., lecturer at medical university, actively published researcher) in laboratory management is highly desirable.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles, including market analysis, financial planning, and strategic planning. Proven ability to develop and implement successful business plans.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese and English. Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills are essential.
Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of various laboratory disciplines, including biochemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, pathology, and genetics.
Language Skills: Fluency in Vietnamese and English is required.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
