Management accountant (Costing & Inventory / Tax/ Fixed Assets Accountant)

Job Description

Inventory and Costing:

- Checking all inventory-related journal entries

- Collect and verify accurate cost data related to production, finished goods, inventory and spoilage.

- To conduct stock count and reconcile month-end inventory book balance and actual physical stock count.

- To ensure that adequate controls are present in all aspects of inventory

- Collect cost information and analyzing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization

- Record of accrual/allocate entries

- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions

Tax Issues

- Preparing VAT, WHT tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports

- Completely required tax reporting in a timely manner

- Monitors and responds to tax authority over tax issues

- Prepare tax refund records when incurred.

Fixed Assets

- Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.

- Check for completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub ledger and month-end closing activities.

- Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.

Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system

- Generate monthly depreciation postings and annual account reports to management.

- Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets.

- Organize and maintain fixed asset documentations

- Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance
• Written and spoken English (Good)
• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Strong time management skills, team work
• Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel
• 3 - 5 years relevant experience
