We are looking for a MEP Engineer (Electric part). An exciting opportunity has popped up for the new members to join SYPM team with plenty of growth and career development for this role. Job description details as below:
1. Design management: to ensure quality of the design.
- Cooperating with design consultant to prepare design document for legal process and construction work. (If necessary, responsibility of drawing is given to MEP engineer to make up for design consultant).
- Checking design document before transferring to other department. Contents of checking can include, but are not limited to:
Ø Appropriateness to project requirements;
Ø Compliance with legal regulations, design codes;
Ø Effectiveness (balance between cost and quality);
Ø Construct ability;
Ø Risks caused by design (if any).
- Giving ideas to improve design quality.
- Supporting other department in design work, both technically and legally (if any).
2. Construction management: to ensure construction work goes smoothly.
- Cooperating with site team to solve site issues, both technically and legally.
- Review and give opinion on Request for Change, Request For Information (RFC/RFI) occurred during construction phase. Contents of reviewing include, but are not limited to: necessity of change, cost variation, schedule variation, etc.
- Monitoring and report on construction schedule, quality, and, if any, Health-Safety-Environment (HSE) issues.
- Checking site if required (not so often).
3. Cost & Product Management:
- Make BOQ.
- Verify supplier manufacture reliability.
- Suggestion about new solution (more specifically new construction)
- Study & suggestion for new system (even if not directly related).
4. Knowledge & Document Management:
- Planning (Design) guide & check list.
- Construction manual of MEP part.
- PM work process guidance manual.
5. Others Task:
- Supporting legal team regarding to technical issues while working with authority, other parties.
- Other tasks assigned by Manager
Educational background
- BA in Electric Engineering.
Experiences
- At least 2-4 years working experience as MEP engineer of Project Management Unit (PMU), or of Owner, or as MEP design consultant. Use to work in at least 2 high-rise building projects.
- Having experience about legal issues is preferable.
