Job Summary: Recruiting Now: Operation Manager – Freight Forwarding (Sea/Air Logistics) – Start After Tet 2026
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operational Manager (Freight Forwarding) to lead and optimize our operations - Sea Freight/Air Freight/Trucking, Customs Clearance, Export–Import activities, and coordination with suppliers. The ideal candidate will manage daily workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure smooth collaboration across teams. Strong English communication skills are required for working with clients and international partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle end-to-end export and import operations for both Sea Freight and Air Freight, including booking, scheduling, cargo tracking, and coordination with carriers, shipping lines, and airlines.
• Prepare and process all operational documents such as MBL, HBL, invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and shipping instructions.
• Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, and service providers to ensure timely cargo movement and problem resolution.
• Manage and follow up on customs clearance procedures, ensuring all declarations, permits, and regulatory requirements are correctly completed.
• Support daily communication with Carriers/Shipping Lines to secure space, obtain rates, and monitor shipment status.
• Ensure operational processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
• Work closely with internal teams such as sales, finance, and customer service to ensure seamless workflow and accurate information flow.
• Monitor shipment performance, identify delays or issues, and proactively suggest solutions to maintain service quality.
• Maintain organized records and provide timely reports on shipment status, operational performance, and related KPIs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending efficient procedures, cost-saving measures, and workflow enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A relevant master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a Freight Forwarding operational management role.
- Strong, hands-on leadership style with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team support.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken) is a must for communication with international clients and partners.
- Strong knowledge of import/export operations, sea freight, customs regulations, and overall logistics processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using operational software and MS Office applications.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional visits to operational sites, ports, warehouses, or client locations as necessary.
- Regular business hours with flexibility to address urgent operational issues outside normal hours if needed
