Job Description

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Ensure timely completion of Production Engineering activity for new product.

2. Hold concept meeting for production engineering of new products.

3. Prepare detailed schedules related to production engineering of products and monitor them on regular basis.

4. Conduct Process FMEA.

5. Ensure timely availability of requirement of any new equipment, SPM or any other machines required for production using the related product.

6. Responsible for manufacturing of pilot lots as per product development plan by coordinating with all concerned department.

7. Set up assembly lines & train manpower for new line.

8. Ensure optimum materials handling system for movement of material within the plant on the assembly line & to the customers.

9. Get the pilot lots manufactured as per specifications and other requirements.

10. Provide guidance to sub-ordinates and ensure their development.

11. Ensure adherence to all laid out QUALITY - systems.

12. Ensure smooth handover of products to manufacturing unit.

13. Ensure proper housekeeping in his department.

14. Ensure the effective implementation of CII-ACT related activities under assigned tasks.

15. To implement single piece flow concept on all new assembly lines for development products within fool proof manufacturing process.

16. Conduct appraisals of direct subordinates and give recommendations on the basis of performance.

17. Approve Process Sheets, Process Flow charts, Component Shop Layout, and other related documents.

18. Ensure implementation of EMS.

Authorities :
1. Make concept of machine / SPM and secondary operations for the new/existing products.
2. Make required change in design of Jig, fixture & tooling.
3. To monitor the development schedule of facilities & tooling for timely execution.
4. To check development schedule of P.E.
5. Approve leaves of personnel under direct control.
6. To discharge above indicated duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Departmental Head.

Key Result Area (Basis of Performance Assessment) :
1. New products supply to customer plan Vs. actual.
2. Continuous improvement in productivity leading to manpower saving.
3. Introduction of New Types of Jigs Fixtures etc. (Technology improvement) for mistake proofing.

Job Requirement

Minimum Desired Personal Specification :

AGE : 30 – 40 Years 

QUALIFICATION : Automation Engineer

EXPERIENCE             : 7 – 12 Years

PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS    : Creative Mind, Thorough, Methodical, an eye for detail, managerial capabilities, Good communication  skill, ambitious, Leadership qualities, good planning and organizing ability.
