The Testing Supervisor is responsible for conducting material tests, analyzing test results, and ensuring materials meet quality and performance standards. This role involves working closely with factory & Third party laboratory, suppliers, material, development and production teams, and R&D to validate material properties and support product development and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct physical and mechanical testing on raw materials, components, and finished products in accordance with company and industry standards and testing policies.
• Evaluate test results and generate comprehensive reports, providing insights, recommendations, and a final decision on whether to proceed or halt.
• Develop, implement, and maintain testing methods, procedures, and protocols for material assessment.
• Work closely with suppliers, production teams, and R&D to resolve material-related challenges.
• Ensure adherence to internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Audit factory testing equipment, ensure proper calibrations, and maintain laboratory documentation.
• Support failure analysis and investigate root causes of material defects.
• Stay informed about advancements in material science and emerging testing methodologies.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives focused on material selection and performance optimization.
• Maintaining and updating Quality Performance Standard Master Document and distribution.
• 8+ years experience in material/ finished shoe physical testing in third party lab
• Experience in material testing, quality control, or a similar role (experience in footwear, textiles is a must, polymers is a plus).
• Knowledge of material properties, testing standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, SATRA EN-ISO), and evaluation techniques.
