· Work in close collaboration with the Sweco Belgium stress engineering lead of your projects.
· Build piping models using the Caesar II software
· Perform and check calculations and solve problems of some engineering complexity.
· Provide advice to the piping designer based on the calculation result
· Review specifications, drawings, and vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements.
· Contribute to design documentation and deliverables such as piping flexibility and stress reports, nozzle load reports, pipe support load calculations, and specialty item data sheets such as spring supports and expansion joints.
· Others tasks as assigned
· At minimum a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or equal through at least 5 years of experience.
· Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ASME B31.3 and EN13480 code is a must. Knowledge of ASME VIII div. 1 and EN 13445 is a plus.
· Fluently using Caesar II software is required.
· Knowledge of Nozzle Pro is a plus.
· Knowledge of equipment’s software (PV Elite/Autopipe Vessel/Visual vessel Design) is a plus
· Understanding of the code stress equations according to ASME B31.3 and EN 13480 is required
· Knowledge of pipe wall thickness calculation and branch calculation is required
· Knowledge of piping materials according to ASME and EN codes is a plus
· Knowledge of piping specification according ASME and EN is a plus
· Knowledge of flange leakage check according to Equivalent Pressure Method, ASME VIII div.1 appendix 2, EN-1591-1 is required
· Knowledge of ASME B31J-2017 is required
· Knowledge of using and modeling Sliding Plates, Springs, Expansion Joints, and Rigid Struts in the analyses is required
· Must have the capability of providing optimized piping flexibility to resolve stress failure, exceeding nozzle load limits, and flange leakage issue
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
· Experience and strong interest in pipe stress engineering and mechanical calculations in general.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
