The Plant Manager has the ultimate responsibility for Operations taking place in the facility (site leadership responsibility) including:
* Manufacturing
· Manage daily operations in the facility
· Responsibility for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
· Production Control and Materials Control
· Ingredients and Packaging Handling
· Logistics and Despatch
· Delivery of an efficient lean factory driving cost savings and efficiency improvements
* Maintenance
· Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment used at the facility (minimum of technical stops)
· Ensure right performance of all equipment used at the facility (minimum downtime)
· Involvement in selecting and installing new equipment
* Health & Safety
· Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility.
· Creating a culture focused on the safety of our staff
· Ensure compliance with facility ISO standards and all HSE guidelines
· Ensure compliance with SMETA/ETI
* Quality Control
· Ensure all products produced are meeting the food and health standards as well as the agreed customer specifications
· Acting in line with all food and health legislation
* Labour force, Human Resource Management for plant
· Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results. Control and minimize labour overtime
* Site Performance and Administration
· Build up and control Budget
· Stock and Cost Accounting
· Cost Control, to continually review site overhead costs, implementing new ways of working which facilitate overhead cost reduction
· Local Purchasing and Vendor Management
· Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
· Reporting on all KPI´s, Prepare, analyse and issue production and performance reports
. To continually review total cost per ton of all site products, driving new initiatives which deliver year on year total cost per ton reduction

- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the same position
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
