Acting as technical focal point for climate and disaster risk management;
Advising the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development/the Vietnam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority and provincial authorities on the development of digital climate and disaster risk information and assessments;
Ensuring close and effective cooperation and communication with relevant partners and stakeholders at national and provincial level during the implementation of the activities;
Cooperating and advising in a multidisciplinary team colleague working on climate and disaster risk financing;
Responsible for providing inputs to PR/communication, knowledge management and M&E;
Ensuring that the activities are implemented in compliance with GIZ rules and regulations.
Job Requirement
Minimum requirements
Master’s degree in disaster risk management, environment, natural resources management or closely related fields.
Having at least 5 years of working experience in disaster risk management, environment, natural resources management, preferably in development cooperation setting.
Good knowledge and understanding about geo-databases, GIS, Remote Sensing, and digital technologies in disaster risk management.
Good knowledge and understanding about disaster risk management in different regions of Vietnam.
Proven-working experience with and having good working relationships with governmental, ministerial, and provincial partners on disaster risk management or related topics.
Excellent English proficiency, especially in presentation and writing.
Capability to accompany and supervise multidisciplinary consultant teams.
Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel frequently if required.
