Job Description

Job Overview:

Kodiak Bags, LLC is looking for a hardworking, bilingual (Vietnamese/English) Quality Control Specialist with experience in sewn apparel and/or accessory and/or production industries.

Quality Control Specialist supports US based production team by performing in-field factory inspections.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Regular factory visits/meetings
• Daily email/WhatsApp communication to US Team

· Perform in-line inspection and end-of-line inspection on the production floor of all factories

· Ensure that any/all defects are communicated/flagged to the ownership/management in order to address the issue immediately and propose a corrective solution

· Help schedule inline/final inspections

· Monitor factory performance by gathering relevant data and providing quarterly scorecards

· Maintain vendor WIPs (production Work In Progress)

· Aid in all aspects of QC activities related to factory audits/inspections

· Aid in lab testing protocols

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

 1+ years manufacturing experience in sewn apparel and/or accessories industry

• Knowledge of accessory/garment and fabric construction, terminology, measurements, and workmanship
• Full understanding of production lifecycle
• Have excellent communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to:

• • work independently and in conjunction with ownership/management
  • manage multiple projects at a time and meet deadline according to priority

• Proficiency in Excel
• Must have:

• • reliable transportation, and valid license to operate and proof of insurance
  • mobile phone w/video/photo capabilities
  • Access to WiFi and WhatsApp

Great if you have:

• Working knowledge of print and digital mass production practices
• Previously worked with US-based companies
• Smartsheet experience

Working Conditions:

·       Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

·       Position requires driving throughout the day to various factories around Northern Vietnam

·       Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor under pressure

·       Ability to react and adapt to change

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit/stand/kneel and lift up to 25 lbs.
