Key Responsibilities:
1. General Inspection Activities:
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Inspect incoming equipment and materials to confirm they meet approval requirements.
- Perform unscheduled inspections to identify and address non-conformities.
2. Inspection Coordination and Reporting:
- Work with Classification Societies and Ship Owners to address recommendations and take corrective actions.
- Coordinate pre-inspections with production departments and report issues accurately.
- Prepare and submit Requests for Inspection (RFI) and maintain proper inspection reports.
- Report all project-related quality issues to the Quality Manager.
3. Quality Coordination:
- Organize and participate in quality meetings as needed.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Engineering, and Production Departments to to resolve quality issues and address recommendations from the Ship Owner and Classification Society.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval, Marine, Mechanical, or General Engineering.
· Experience:
o Minimum 2 years in quality inspection, shipbuilding, or a related field..
o Proficient in machinery, piping, outfitting installation standards, and testing/commissioning processes.
o Familiarity with hull standards and shipbuilding technology.
o Knowledge of national and international regulations from Classification Societies and shipbuilding authorities.
· Skills & Competencies:
o Strong organizational and methodical work style.
o Fluent in written and spoken English.
o Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
o Interest in shipbuilding technical issues and a proactive attitude toward quality management.
