Develop and implement reliability analysis, design, validation and assessment methods to support successful new product introductions.
Provide technical supports to improve existing product reliability.
Work with customers on reliability tests alignment and development of tests that reflect environment in the field.
Provide daily reliability support for R&D advising on accelerated tests, tests to failure.
Generate and approve test procedures for product qualification and life testing.
Perform reliability modeling and prediction.
Perform root cause analysis for failures happened in reliability testing and field.
Manage the global failure analysis and reliability laboratory equipment
2. Department Management:
Department Staffing - Maintain appropriate staffing levels. Balance resource capacity to workload based on the implementation of efficient best practices.
Reviews, Development, and Compensation - Develop skills of associates in the areas of leadership, customer support, problem solving etc. Resolve associate performance issues as needed. Define training needed. Create and maintain an environment that promotes teamwork, responsiveness, efficiency and a positive working environment. Administer timely performance and wage programs. Perform Performance Appraisal and manage Goal Oriented Leadership within the area.
Budgeting - Manage FA & REL department budget. Establish budget, meet budget targets, analyze variances, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
Planning / Prioritization - Identify, analyze, assess, define and prioritize key performance indicators, metrics, and goals for the laboratory (like Leadtime, Delivery Performance, Efficiency, etc) to support company's Strategic Objectives and annual business plan.
3. Six Sigma:
Lead Six Sigma program in Operations.
Provides Six Sigma training for Green Belts and Black Belts.
Supports running Six Sigma projects.
Coordinate, integrate, and manage cost reduction activities across different groups and departments of Operations locations.
Sets up and implements program structure and business process on managing cost reduction activities.
Provide information, guidance, training, and tools to help decision making, projects prioritization, and projects execution (includes assisting NPV/ROI calculations).
Cost models, cost management and controls.
Job Requirement
1. Education background: PhD/Mater/Bachelor’s degree in Science/Applied Science (Physics, Chemistry) or Engineering (Materials, Metallurgical, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical). Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification is an advantage.
