We are looking for a reliable Sales & Import-Export Officer equipped with a strong understanding of local/international trade regulations, customs procedures, logistics, excellent communication skills, proficiency in relevant software, and experience in managing import/export operations, including negotiation with suppliers and customers and ensuring compliance with trade laws across borders.
I) RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES:
• Manage shipments: Oversee the inbound and outbound transportation of goods
• Manage data: Keep track of local and international shipments, transportation, and ports
• Manage administration: Handle orders, contracts, and export documents
• Develop sales strategies: Create plans to achieve sales goals and identify new
business opportunities
• Coordinate with exporters: Communicate with exporters about documentation and
shipment schedules
• Troubleshoot: Address any issues that arise during the export process
• Negotiate sales: Work with customers to determine sale terms and conditions
• Organize legal requirements: Ensure that products meet legal requirements, such as
licenses.
• Other tasks assigned by Sales and Import-Export Manager and BOD.
1. Education: College or Bachelor’s degree in business, supply-chains or a related field.
2. Experiences: Prior experience in an import/export role, preferably in a similar industry.
3. Skills or Other requirements:
• Deep understanding of local/international trade regulations, customs laws, tariffs and trade agreements.
• Familiarity with shipping processes, freight forwarding, and documentation required for import/export activities.
• Knowledge of export controls, sanctions, and other compliance issues related to local/international trade.
• Knowledge of budgeting, foreign exchange rates, and international payment methods.
• Fluency in English and potentially other languages depending on the market focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners across different cultures.
• Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance with regulations.
• Expertise in trade management systems, customs clearance software, erp software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing with international suppliers and customers.
• Understanding of different cultural practices and business norms to navigate international interactions effectively.
