1. To assist the Property Manager in supervising and controlling the day to day operations and overall performance of security staff, to ensure adequate supervision and surveillance in accordance with all security aspects.
2. Be accountable for the security, fire safety and safety of the Property, its residents, visitors, employees, contractors and assets.
3. Maintain full, true and accurate records associated with the complete function of the Security Department, be responsible for the operation and training of all security staff.
4. In conjunction with the General Manager to implement and administer security, loss control, key control, fire safety and safety procedures.
5. Conduct investigations into matters relating to fire, accidents, physical injury, damage, threat, vehicle accident, disruption where theft/fraud/loss/injury/damage has occurred.
6. Pursue the prosecution of any person detected committing felonious acts in premises.
7. Regularly liaise with the various Department Heads relating to the safe, secure, efficient and harmonious operation of the Property in conjunction with the function of the Security Department.
8. Continually evaluate and provide recommendations to the Property Manager for the improvement of security/fire safety procedures in the various departments, particularly as regards storage, key control, chemicals, personal security.
9. Liaise with Human Resource Department to train all staff in security/fire safety and safety procedures, liaise and maintain regular contact with Police and Authorities.
10. Be available for urgent call as soon as possible, if and when required.
11. Perform any and all other assignments as directed by the Management
Tertiary qualifications.
At least 2 years of relevant experience as Security/Safety Manager in the hospitality industry
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess basic computer skills.
Been in the Police or in the Army.
Conversant with Laws (criminal/civil Code, Labor Laws)
