o Work with the project team to improve die-casting product design, make the mold fabrication easy and easy .
o Prepare the mold specification for tooling and part cost quotation based on 2D/3D drawing.
o DFM review, molding design review, machining fixture review and approval to vendor for tooling build up.
o Capable to evaluate Magma mold flow for die-casting. Refer to candidates who can run this simulation on software.
o Tooling schedules follow up and make sure there is no delay for each stage.
o Daily and weekly report update to supervisor.
o Maintain good communication and cooperation with internal customers and suppliers.
o Setting up meeting to coordinate the disagreement of schedule & quality.
o Support MP tooling trouble shooting, including of tooling maintenance, tooling modification, increasing tooling capacity, auditing tooling performance.
o Tooling database & tooling system maintenance.
o Tooling Specification definition: mold and machining (Key technical database)
o Rich experience on driving the optimization of product design to build an efficient tooling and a machining process.
o Part design review and tooling design review & approval.
o Tooling schedule tracking and follow up.
o Tooling trial shot witness and problems finding & solving.
o Tooling parameter and cutting model optimization.
o Proficient in operating UG and making tooling structure review.
o Good communication skill with project team and suppliers.
o On-site verify tooling trial shot and solve trouble shooting.
This position will be based in Sai Gon Hightech Park District 9. Shuttle bus from District 1,10,7,12, Thu Duc, Go Vap/Binh Duong/Dong Nai is available.
o Bachelor' Degree in Mechanical/Mechanical Manufacturing Technology major
o 4 years or above relevant experience in die-casting molding.
o Be familiar with UG (NX) / AutoCAD / PowerPoint / Moldflow /Magma/ Excel.
o Wealthy experience in die-casting material properties like: aluminum, zinc, Magnesium and copper alloys.
o Experience in molding structures such as: type of mold, runner, gate, vents, overflow, ejection mechanism, cooling, etc.
o Good experience in the kind of steel for die-casting mold to choose the proper one for ensuring the lifetime of mold.
o Good knowledge about the technology of manufacturing molds, such as: CNC milling, CNC lathes…etc. Refer to who can understand the CNC program, operate CNC machines: milling, lathes.
o Can design 2D/3D the complex die-casting mold by using NX, Creo Parametric…etc.
o Experience with DFM for die-casting products.
o Excellent experience in optimizing the mold design to reduce the injection cycle time and use the proper machine size to control the part cost.
o Can analyze the product design issues that may impact the mold fabrication, mold life and may cause the molding issues, and optimize the design accordingly.
o Be able to analyze dimension chain, well understand GD&T.
o Excellent ability on tooling project management. Be sensitive to the potential schedule and technical risk. Get problems solved it in time.
o Good English written and read. Average in Spoken (to work with global team and expats)
o Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
o Able to work effectively & under high pressure
o Good knowledge of molding steel properties, material types.
