Job Summary:
The Senior International Accountant is responsible for overseeing all business and finance activities for the Company in Hong Kong, including all bookkeeping and accounting; monthly and annual budgeting and reporting; legal and governmental compliance; bank, accountant, and auditor relationships; cashflow and treasury management; and buyer and supplier communication and control. The Sr. Accountant also coordinates with the FDI Company in Viet Nam accounting teams to ensure adequate cash flow, as well as compatible accounting procedures. This is a mid-management position reporting to the EEVN Chief Accountant; in addition, this position works closely with various departments at FDI Company.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting – Manage all aspects of company accounting to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
· Manage WFX (ERP system for Garment feild) accounting system and oversee accounting data entry and transactions.
· Manage customers and suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment of AP and AR responsibilities.
Budgeting and Reporting – Manage all budgeting and reporting functions to provide accurate information for management and compliance.
· Prepare annual budget, forecasting revenue and expenses; provide monthly budget reporting comparing actuals to budget; propose budget updates to maintain profitability; coordinate with FDI company as necessary.
· Prepare annual and monthly financial statements, including BS, IS, & GL reports; present to directors and Leadership Teams as necessary; provide other financial reports as requested.
Partner Relationships – Primary contact for business partners including banks, accountants, auditors, etc.
Compliance – Responsibility for all legal and audit compliance for Hong Kong Companies.
· Work with company Secretary to submit monthly and yearly legal reports.
· Work with company audit firm to submit annual accounting audit.
· Keep policies and procedures up to date with regulations.
Treasury Management – Maintain adequate cash flow between Hong Kong Compay and FDI for standard operations.
· Review monthly cash flow report; work with FDI Company and another company in Germany teams to improve cash efficiency; alert Leadership Teams to potential cash shortages, and excessive cash build-up.
· Cooperate with FDI Accounting team to provide cash for operations; manage transfers with HK and VN banks.
· Manage short term investments to maximize interest income.
Communication and Control – Ensure effective communication with buyers and suppliers to minimize costs.
· Track PO production and shipment status for all materials suppliers.
· Review cost overages with Leadership Team.
· Work with FDI Chief Accountant to reduce CMPT costs and improve efficiencies.
