JOB SUMMARY
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will work with supplier partners to improve the supplier quality performance of the supplied parts, drive the use of proper corrective action methodology and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition, driving continuous improvement of the quality systems of the supply base using the necessary quality and problems solving tools to ensure sufficient supplier capability. The SQE will drive the use of proper corrective action methodology for non-conforming suppliers and supplied components and develop process to prevent reoccurrence and ensure compliance to quality standards.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
1.Support sourcing team to audit & qualify potential suppliers
2.Identify and prioritize suppliers who are lacking in performance and develop plan to visit/audit those suppliers for improvements.
3.Ensures suppliers meet TTI quality standards. Develop supplier to meet these quality requirements as needed.
4.Support NPD/NPI..(New Product Development) projects by focusing on new components’ quality part consistency.
5.Review engineering specifications and drawings to determine supplier’s abilities to meet parameters and reviews new and modified product designs from a material standpoint advising modifications when necessary.
6.Provide leadership on-site at supplier locations to drive team efforts and activities.
7.Work with Engineering to drive technical document changes when needed
8.Follow up material quality issues found by IQC,MQA…in mass production and from customer complaint. Follow up with suppliers on 8D SCAR closure and effectiveness to prevent problem recurrence.
9.Verify report from suppliers (8D,inspection report, test report, etc.); review supplier's documents (process, WI, quality plan, records, etc).
10. Hold meeting with supplier weekly or monthly to discuss any product quality issue / customer complaint, drive corrective action and follow up.
11. Assist Purchasing and customer service to expedite product from suppliers in urgent situations.
12. Prepare the weekly and monthly report to SQE Manager
REQUIREMENTS
Education
Knowledge
1. University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related CNC Engineering.
2. Knowledge about the metal material.
3. Knowledge about the process of machining, die casting, bearing, pressing, treatment, coating, spray…

1. A self-starter with a "hands-on" approach. Eager to drive key initiatives.
