PEFC International

PEFC, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, is a leading global alliance of national forest certification systems. As an international non-profit, non-governmental organization, PEFCisdedicated to promoting sustainable forest management through independent third-party certification. 
 
VFCS, the Vietnam Forest Certification System, is a national forest certification system, established under the project on sustainable forest management and forest certification by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In June 2019, VFCS became the 50th member of PEFC. Since then, the system has undergone the endorsement assessment process, and it is expected to be endorsed by PEFC in the middle of 2020.

At PEFC, we care for forests globally and locally. We work to protect our forests by promoting sustainable forest management through certification. This means we can all benefit from the many products that forests provide now, while ensuring these forests will be around for generations to come.
