The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for supporting business performance management through financial analysis, operational reporting, accounting supervision, and strategic business insights. This role acts as a business partner to management by combining finance controlling, business analysis, and process improvement capabilities to support operational efficiency, cost optimization, and decision-making across departments.
This position also supervises accounting operations and drives reporting standardization, KPI visibility, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Financial Control & Accounting Supervision
· Supervise daily accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll accounting, and financial reconciliation.
· Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in compliance with company policies and Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS).
· Support monthly closing, financial reporting, tax declarations, and audit preparation activities.
· Monitor compliance with tax regulations and internal financial controls.
2. Business Analysis & Management Reporting
· Analyze business performance, operational costs, manpower efficiency, and departmental KPIs.
· Develop dashboards, management reports, and financial/business analysis for decision-making.
· Identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across operations.
· Support budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and cost-saving initiatives.
· Provide data-driven recommendations to management and department leaders.
3. Strategic Business Partnering
· Work closely with Operations, HR, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to improve business performance.
· Support management in evaluating investment proposals, manpower structures, and operational improvement projects.
· Translate business requirements into reporting solutions and actionable analysis.
· Support business strategy execution through financial and operational insights.
4. Process Improvement & Digitalization
· Drive automation, dashboard development, and reporting standardization initiatives.
· Improve data visibility, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency through digital tools and AI-supported analysis.
· Support continuous improvement and workflow optimization projects.
· Develop visual SOPs, reporting templates, and KPI tracking systems.
5. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Coordination
· Guide and support accounting/reporting team members in daily operations.
· Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment of financial and operational objectives.
· Support capability development and analytical mindset within the team.
