R&D Documentation Engineer

1. SAP BOM Management: Establish and maintain the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) in SAP, including creation, change management, maintenance of BOM structures. Create new product BOM for projects under development and maintain them through the transition to mass production

2. Technical Document Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of engineering documents, including product specifications, technical drawings, work instructions, component datasheets, laser printing.

3. Engineering Change Notice (ECN) Process Control: Operate and control the ECN process to ensure that design and component changes are accurately synchronized between R&D Vietnam and the Manufacturing plant in India.

4. Technical Review & Cross-functional Coordination

• Review technical documents, product specifications, and engineering drawings (exploded views, housing drawings, cable drawings, etc.)
• Execute drawing updates (exploded drawing) for products in mass production
• Coordinate with related teams: Mechanical, Hardware, and Layout to ensure ECN/PCR changes are complete, accurate, and consistently reflected across all affected documents
• Manage new part requests for both mechanical and electronic components, including Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) management for electronic components

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electronics or related fields)
• 1–2 years of working experience in a manufacturing or engineering company environment

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of product BOM structures (single-level and multi-level)
• Ability to read and understand basic technical specifications of electronic components from datasheets
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and document control practices

Software

• SAP ERP: Know how to use T-code SAP in MM and PP modules, such as T-codes for material master creation, multi-level BOM management, stock inventory checking, info record/pricing, know to to calculate a BOM cost
• AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator (for drawing tasks)
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Language

• Good in English (speaking and technical reading)
