Head of Production

1.Production Operations & Delivery

•   Own daily production execution across all departments: wood processing, upholstery, finishing, assembly and packing.

•   Lead the master production planning process with PPC to ensure on-time delivery.

•   Balance lines, optimize capacity and manpower utilization, and resolve bottlenecks.

•   Coordinate cross-functional execution with Sales, Purchasing and Warehouse.

2.Health, Safety & Environment

•   Ensure a safe working environment and full compliance with legal and customer HSE requirements.

•   Drive safety culture, risk assessments, incident investigation and corrective actions with the HSE team.

3.Quality Management

•   Strengthen quality systems to prevent defects rather than detect them.

•   Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CAPA) for major quality issues.

•   Drive process standardization and statistical process control (SPC) across manufacturing.

•   Support customer audits and quality improvement programs.

4.Cost, Productivity & Industrial Engineering

•   Own the production budget; analyze cost variances and take corrective action.

•   Develop labor standards, capacity models and factory layout improvements.

•   Improve labor productivity and material yield (lumber, fabric, foam, finishing materials).

5.Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

•   Lead Lean implementation across all production departments (VSM, Standard Work, Visual Management, 5S, SMED).

•   Drive Kaizen initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction and waste elimination.

•   Build a culture of continuous improvement throughout the factory.

6.Materials, Maintenance & Asset Utilization

•   Work with Purchasing, Warehouse and Planning to ensure material availability and inventory accuracy.

•   Partner with Maintenance on preventive/predictive maintenance and equipment reliability.

•   Monitor OEE and drive machine utilization and downtime reduction.

7.People Leadership & Organization

•   Lead, coach and develop the production management team, including the Factory Manager.

•   Drive performance management, succession planning and workforce capability building.

•   Lead the organization through operational and organizational change.

•   Foster accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Wood Technology, Supply Chain Management or related disciplines.

- Language: Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written). Functional Vietnamese language capability is preferred.

- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP systems; Power BI or other business intelligence tools; strong data analysis and reporting skills.

- Related Knowledge

•   Strong understanding of wood and upholstered furniture production processes, including finishing operations.

•   Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management Systems and Supply Chain Management.

•   Good understanding of manufacturing finance, budgeting and cost control.

•   Familiarity with international customer requirements, compliance and export manufacturing environments.
