Role Overview
- The International Business Development Executive is responsible for driving SOKO Cake • Bake • Brunch's international growth strategy through market expansion, franchise development, strategic partnerships, and overseas business operations.
- This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with international partners, supporting franchise and licensing initiatives, and ensuring sustainable commercial growth across international markets.
1. International Market Expansion
Research and identify new international markets for SOKO's expansion.
Evaluate market potential, consumer trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements.
Develop market entry strategies for priority countries.
Build and maintain relationships with landlords, developers, airport operators, retail groups, and hospitality partners.
2. Franchise & Partnership Development
Identify, qualify, and onboard franchise partners, master franchisees, and joint venture opportunities.
Prepare business proposals, franchise presentations, and investment materials.
Coordinate franchise discussions, due diligence, and negotiation processes.
Support franchise agreement implementation and market launch activities.
Monitor franchise partner performance and compliance with brand standards.
3. Business Development & Commercial Growth
Generate new business opportunities through partnerships, licensing, corporate sales, and strategic collaborations.
Develop relationships with airlines, airports, hotels, shopping malls, lifestyle brands, and retail operators.
Support negotiations on commercial terms, rental structures, revenue-sharing models, and partnership agreements.
Drive revenue growth from international business channels.
4. International Operations Support
Coordinate with international partners to ensure smooth store openings and business operations.
Liaise with internal departments including operations, marketing, supply chain, finance, and legal teams.
Support product localization and menu adaptation based on market requirements.
Monitor operational performance and recommend improvement initiatives.
5. Cross-Border E-commerce & Retail
Support international online sales initiatives and marketplace expansion.
Coordinate logistics, fulfillment, inventory planning, and customer experience for overseas markets.
Monitor online sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
6. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare market research reports, feasibility studies, and business cases.
Track sales performance, franchise KPIs, and expansion pipeline.
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for growth.
Present regular business development updates to senior management.
7. Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
Identify and approach potential franchise partners, investors, landlords, developers, airport operators, hotel groups, and strategic partners.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of international expansion opportunities.
Coordinate and organize meetings, presentations, site visits, and business development discussions with prospective partners.
Prepare meeting materials, company presentations, business proposals, and follow-up documentation.
Track all business development activities and ensure timely follow-up with prospects and stakeholders.
Represent SOKO Cake • Bake • Brunch at networking events, trade shows, industry conferences, and business meetings when required.
Support negotiations and facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners throughout the partnership process.
Maintain an up-to-date database of potential partners, franchise leads, landlords, and industry contacts.

New international markets evaluated and developed.
Number of qualified franchise and partnership opportunities generated.
Number of signed franchise, licensing, or partnership agreements.
International revenue contribution.
New store openings and project completion timelines.
Expansion pipeline value.
Partner satisfaction and retention.
Business case accuracy and reporting quality.
Bachelor's degree in Business, International Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in business development, franchising, international sales, retail, hospitality, or F&B.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
Experience working with international partners is preferred.
Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
Willingness to travel internationally when required.
