As an Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for reviewing the construction drawings, calculating the quantity of Simpson Strong-Tie products in certain projects:
Manage the quantity of materials relevant to building and engineering projects, which will include new builds, renovations or maintenance work
Review construction drawings; calculate, estimate, and check the connectors in wood framing or CFS framing buildings (CFS = cold formed steel or light gage steel)
Understand the specifications of the projects so as to identify the problems and propose solutions. Have a clear understanding about the progress, Design and Construction Phases to figure out appropriate solutions
Coordinate with Project Managers to perform the requirements and to make adjustments for the variations or changes coming from customer, contractor or design engineer
Take off quantity from designed drawings, prepare quotations (bills of quantities) and other documentation. Continue to update and adjust the quotation with any arising changes
Comply the procedures as well as specific working processes of the team according to the assignment, evaluation and management from the direct supervisor
Control work quality and time schedule within the group
Report directly to the direct superior and Project Managers through verbal explanation or text in a clear and concise manner. Work alone or coordinate with other end-users as required. Perform other related duties as assigned
Proactively improve wood framing knowledge, applicable building standards, as well as ACAD / Revit software and related software for your work
Fresh graduates with major in construction fields will receive technical training sessions to help access to work more easily.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:
Bachelor Degree with major in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Construction Materials
< 2 years of experience (Fresher is very welcome)
English skills equivalent to TOEIC 500 or higher
Be familiar with software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, etc.
Be able to work effectively as a team member with minimal supervision
Self-motivated and willing to learn and absorb new things, customer and result oriented
Integrity and sense of detail attention
