Mechanical Engineer (CAD)

 Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer (CAD) at Tuuci Asia is responsible for building and maintaining the company's CAD technical documentation system — including 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and technical reference documents — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and up-to-date alignment with the latest product changes.

Beyond internal technical responsibilities, this role works closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to deliver product visuals and technical information that support commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and update 3D models and 2D drawings for Tuuci products using SolidWorks. Ensure all models and drawings on the company's Doc_Vault (PDM) system are consistently updated to reflect the latest product revisions.

Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering teams to create and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) on the company's system — ensuring product structures, component details, and revision changes are accurately and promptly reflected.

Work with the Manufacturing Engineering team to build and update technical reference tables for production lines — including material specifications, component dimensions, tolerance standards, and relevant process parameters.

Support the Sales team within the assigned scope — preparing product layouts and providing the necessary technical information to facilitate the sales and consultation process.

Provide 2D drawings and 3D models to the Marketing team for product promotion and customer presentation purposes.

Establish and enforce drawing standards to ensure consistency across the company's entire CAD documentation library — including notation, formatting, naming conventions, and document structure.

Execute in-house projects and any other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements:

Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks — 3D modeling, Assembly, and 2D drawing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, working knowledge of GD&T.
• Ability to develop standardized technical documentation and control document systems.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply — on-the-job training will be provided.

Soft Skills

• Good teamwork and communication skills across departments
• Able to read and understand technical English documents.

Good to have (training will be provided)

• Experience producing drawings or visuals for Marketing or client presentation purposes.
• Familiarity with rendering tools such as KeyShot or SolidWorks Visualize.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes: metal fabrication, surface finishing, and product assembly.
• Experience with document management systems (Doc_Vault, PDM, or equivalent)
• Exposure to BOM management on ERP systems (academic or internship experience is acceptable).
