The North RDC Deputy Manager is responsible for all aspects at RDC; assuring the goals of Supply Chain Department in forming strong Service Logistics System and offering the competitive customer-driven supply chain with the main focus on:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Merchandising management: 30%
2. Planning and Budgeting: Control expense: 15%
3. 5S and Safety Implementation: 15%
4. Manpower management: 15%
5. Rules and Regulations: 15%
6. Other duties: 10%
Detailed responsibilities
1. Merchandising management
a. Stock Control
- Control Physical stock ( Quantity , Quality , Expired date , … ) & Profit , WMS system. Control loss in RDC , Control TOD of stock
- Analyze stock take report and reconcile with data storage system in cooperation with other departments.
- Keep stock control systems up to date and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, procedures.
- Make plan, arrange manpower, ask for manpower support from other departments to prepare for bi-annual stock take (Store)
- Monitor stock take activities to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Supervise PA zero process to control inventory and establish the base for ordering.
- Develop strategies to reduce administrative costs, gain operational efficiency.
b. Merchandise Receiving
- Have sound knowledge and understanding about Law & regulations regarding merchandise management, food safety and hygien'e, fire safety and ensure subordinates follow accordingly (i.e. merchandise should not be laid directly on the floor, safety distance between ceiling and merchandise is at least 50 cm, etc.)
- Develop procedures and ensure loading of containers and trucks are accurate and timely.
- Develop procedures and ensure accurate receiving of inventory and supplies against purchase orders.
- Direct movement of inventory from receiving to storage and work areas.
c. Merchandise delivery
- Control manpower , Productivity ,Picking time & Delivery time as lead time
- Prevent OOS for GMS , SM , SSM
d. Merchandise destroy
- Monitor merchandise destroy at garbage storage area.
e. Merchandise return & transfer
- Supervise the return of slow-moving merchandise to suppliers and the transfer/exchange of merchandise among departments.
f. Supplier Management
- Take leading role in dealing with suppliers to solve any arising issues relating to merchandise or to solve suppliers’ complaints.
- Together with Legal, Merchandising and Supplier Management Departments, participate in negotiation with Suppliers during the sourcing selection process and ongoing contract and relationship management.
2. Planning and Budgeting: Control expense
Planning, budgeting, and proposing by breaking down the duties into groups, making budgets (Yearly and Monthly) and clarifying ROI to the supervisor, for hiring employees and/or implementing any necessary assets to purchase and/or activities to be made for achieving the duties.
3. 5S and Safety Implementation
- Responsible for safety of personnel working at warehouse.
- Ensure merchandise and receiving area is free of dust, well arranged, tidy, and neat and in proper area.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely.
- Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
4. Manpower management
- Optimize people productivity by manpower planning and implementation to achieve target and maximum productivity.
- Ensure efficient leadership to direct the Line/ Department towards Company’s business strategies.
- Monitor subordinates’ attendance and attire.
- Approve duty roster, shift plan raised by subordinates.
- Be responsible for subordinates’ performance.
- Take part in recruitment & selection activities for Line/Department’s staffing.
- Motivate, training and develop staff in order to encourage their professional development.
- Identify potential staff for succession planning purposes.
- Build and promote team work spirit.
5. Rules and Regulations
- Follow all working procedures, the company’s policies, rules and regulations.
- Check, monitor, remind and guide all subordinate to follow the rules and regulations.
6. Other duties
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Support other departments as necessary.
- Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Manager or General Manager
