GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION :
Cooperate with the purchasing engineer to complete product development and sample ordering in the early stage of the project, and manage relevant quotation, procurement contract and other documents. Assist in MRO supplier control and product procurement.
Involved in the early stages of product development include creating PIS’s, RFQ work and analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Coordinate the related work during the initiation phase of a new project. Ensure timely completion of relevant quotation review and other tasks through effective communication with engineers, sales, finance, and suppliers
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide quote for packaging costs to Estimating for major programs prior to submission to the customer.
- Conduct packaging program management requirements, including: Providing specifications and concepts to suppliers, obtaining quotes, collaborate with suppliers to design packaging samples, work with customer and packaging engineers to obtain customer approval, and get formal acceptance from customers, adhere to the budget and negotiate pricing with vendors, and monitor the production and delivery timing of the packaging to the plants.
- Assist in packaging agreements with suppliers and customers during the project period.
- Optimization packaging includes testing/validation work.
- According to the requirements of SPI procurement procedures, cooperate with the procurement process of the early stage / localization team of the project, and issue purchase orders as required.
- Cooperate with the pre-project / localization team to obtain the required materials in time.
- Review supplier delivery performances on a regular basis. Report issue to Purchasing leader if needed.
- Cooperate with the purchasing engineer to develop new local suppliers of pre-project / localization team as planned.
- Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement Program.
- Supports activities as initiated by the Summit VP of Asia Business Development.
- Supports and participates in the AQP/KBPD teams including proto-type development purchasing to assist best cost value for SPI.
- Participates and supports SLMS Systems.
- Ensure the Summit vendors as worked with are complying with Summit ‘s “No Kickback” policies.
- Must comply with the Environmental Policy and the applicable Quality and Environmental Management systems instructions.

Ⅰ.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Skilled use of office software.
- Knowledge of purchasing and packaging systems.
- Good job organization and time management skills.
- Attention to details.
- Sense of responsibility.
- Good English language skills
- Pass Wonderlic score of 20 or greater.
Ⅱ. EDUCATION:
- Collage degree or above.
- Major in logistics industry is better.
Ⅲ. EXPERIENCE:
- Working experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Experience in logistics field.
