The Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate material take-offs from design drawings and specifications. This role involves analyzing project information, developing detailed layouts and summaries, and coordinating with Project Managers on quantity take-offs and change management to ensure cost accuracy throughout design and construction. The Quantity Surveyor closely collaborates with internal stakeholders and, when necessary, external partners to meet project timelines and maintain quality standards.
Service Providing
- Analyze customer-supplied design drawings and project information to summarize products/materials requirements and send to stakeholders for confirmation.
- Verify proposed solutions with stakeholders before submission of take-offs and layout plans to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare layout plans over customer-supplied drawings to accurately calculate products/materials quantities.
- Develop detailed summary and quotation for products/materials quantities, including installation instructions, and send to stakeholders for review.
Quality Compliance
- Follow established procedures and requirements to ensure accuracy and consistency in take-offs/estimates and layouts, to maintain service quality.
Collaboration
- Provide clear and concise updates/communications to coworkers, supervisors and project managers, also coordinate with external stakeholders if required on changes and confirmations, to ensure project progress and accuracy.
Learning & Development
- Continuously improve technical knowledge required for daily work, such as framing systems, applicable building standards, and related software.
- Complete all mandatory trainings as scheduled by the company.
