Job Description:
Operate on water-jet looms, air-jet looms, or rapier looms to interlace warp and weft
yarns according to fabric structures (e.g. plain, twill, satin) to produce greige fabric.
Knows about include:
Fundamental Knowledge
1) Yarn and raw material properties (denier, count, staple vs filament, blended yarns)
2) Fiber characteristics (polyester, etc.)
3) Tensile strength, elongation, and friction behavior
4) Basic weaving principles (warp/weft, fabric structures such as plain, twill, satin)
5) Fabric density (EPI/PPI) and GSM calculation logic
6) Basic loom types (water jet, air jet, rapier weaving machines)
Weaving process design
1) Reed selection (reed count)
2) Heald configuration (heald/shaft plan)
3) Denting plan (warp insertion arrangement)
4) Warp and weft density setting
5) Matching fabric structure with weaving parameters
6) Converting fabric design into machine-readable production parameters
On-machine process adjustment
1) Warp breakage control
2) Weft insertion stability
3) Fabric defects correction (missing picks, barre, uneven density)
4) GSM deviation adjustment
Equipment parameter understanding
1) Machine speed (rpm)
2) Water/air pressure
3) Shedding timing
4) Let-off and take-up settings
Responsible for process design and optimization for woven products to improve production efficiency and product quality.
Assist in solving weaving-related technical issues during production to ensure smooth operations.
Participate in new product development and trial production, providing technical support and process solutions.
Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and related departments to promote process standardization.
Experience Requirement:
Knowledge, Skill Requirement:
Familiar with at least one textile process (weaving, DTY, coating, etc.) including equipment operation and basic process principles.
Able to understand the relationship between fabric specifications (e.g. width, raw materials) and production processes.
Strong willingness to learn and develop expertise in multiple textile production processes.
Basic problem identification and troubleshooting skills. Careful, detail-oriented, and responsible working attitude.
Experience in new production line setup or new equipment commissioning is a plus.
