[CIS] Swimming Teaching Assistant cum Lifeguard

Assist in providing swimming instruction, skill evaluation, and supervision of participants, emphasizing accident prevention, rescue skills, public education, and public relations.

Contribute to the planning, conducting, and implementation of safe and educational swimming lessons.

Ensure the safety and supervision of participants in the pool and pool area, maintaining constant vigilance.

Guard and secure the pool area at all times when students are on the premises, adhering to Health Regulations and relevant policy and procedures manuals.

Ensure that all pool equipment is in place, operational, and appropriately stored after use.

Execute emergency procedures and utilize safety/rescue equipment when necessary.

Monitor and control access to the swimming program, ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Perform administrative tasks to support the program, including marking attendance, student pick-up/drop-off, and other related duties.

Attend and actively participate in meetings and training sessions for ongoing professional development.

Assist with maintenance and janitorial duties, such as deck clean-up, pool skimming, pool setup, litter pick-up, and pool fouling clean-up.

Promptly report any damage or maintenance issues to the Pool Manager for follow-up and resolution.

Minimum Intermediate Degree

Must have a rescue training certificate and complete Standard First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certifications

Must have Swimming teaching certificate

Minimum 1 year experience in equivalent position

Demonstrate appropriate level of fitness to effectively carry out rescues and job duties.
