Job Description

Transportation and Logistics Management

• Oversee transportation planning, shipping schedules, and coordination of trucking, barges, and vessels.
• Ensure alignment with overall shipping plans for timely deliveries.
• Manage the movement of goods from warehouse / manufacturing facility to the port and distribution points.

Cost Optimization and Execution Monitoring

• Monitor and evaluate the execution of transportation plans to ensure cost efficiency.
• Optimize barge turnaround times and minimize lay-up costs through effective scheduling.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Reporting and Data Analysis

• Prepare and present monthly reports on shipment allocations, transportation costs, and logistics performance.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, warehousing) to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with external transportation providers and ensure high service levels and compliance.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the team leader.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Foreign Trade, Transportation, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of domestic transportation and waterway logistics is an advantage.
• Quick-thinking, adaptable, and capable of handling operational challenges effectively.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
