The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing order processing, shipping coordination, and tracking logistics performance. This role ensures timely and cost-effective transportation while collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to maintain smooth logistics operations.
1. Order & Shipment Management
Handle new orders, quantity updates, and ETD (Estimated Time of Departure) or destination changes to ensure accurate shipping schedules.
Communicate order changes and shipping requirements to all relevant stakeholders.
2. Shipping & Receiving Coordination
Develop and monitor the shipping and receiving plan, ensuring all activities align with company requirements.
Update all relevant departments on shipping timelines, potential delays, and alternative solutions.
3. Transportation Coordination
Coordinate and plan transportation services with truck service providers to ensure efficient and on-time delivery.
Optimize transportation costs while maintaining service quality.
4. Reporting & Performance Tracking
Run logistics system reports to track shipment status and delivery performance.
Monitor logistics metrics such as lead time, delivery accuracy, and cost efficiency to support continuous improvement.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal departments and the Mother Company to align logistics activities with operational needs.
Maintain strong communication with suppliers, warehouses, and transportation partners to resolve any logistics issues promptly.
6. Other Duties
Support additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor to enhance department efficiency.
Job Requirement
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
Knowledge:
Understanding of import/export regulations, shipping documentation, and logistics processes.
Experience in working with transportation providers and logistics software.
Skills:
Strong organization and planning skills.
Ability to analyze and solve logistics challenges efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP, or other logistics systems.
Good communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Language: Proficiency in English and Vietnamese is preferred.
