We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Executive specializing in commercial contracts to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in reviewing, drafting, and managing logistics-related contracts, including chartering, trucking rental, warehouse rental, and portal service contracts. The Senior Legal Executive will also support various other legal functions, including licensing, dispute resolution, consultancy, and legal research.
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts related to logistics, ensuring compliance with legal standards and organizational policies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand contractual needs and provide timely legal advice.
Manage the lifecycle of contracts from negotiation through to execution and renewal, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Support the legal team in licensing applications and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards.
Assist in dispute resolution processes, including preparing legal documents, conducting research, and representing the organization when necessary.
Provide legal consultancy on various issues affecting the organization and recommend strategies for improvement.
Conduct legal research on current trends and changes in laws that may impact the organization.
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the improvement of internal legal processes and risk management strategies.
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent legal qualification. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., LLM) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial contracts, especially in the logistics sector.
Experience in dealing with international contracts and cross-border transactions is an advantage.
Membership in relevant legal associations or bar councils.
Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts, particularly in chartering, trucking, warehousing, and service agreements.
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to commercial contracts and logistics is essential.
Proficiency in legal research tools and contract management software.
