134436 - General Accountant - Machinery

RGF's client- a Japanese company in the machinery manufacturing industry - is looking for a General Accountant to handle general accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, internal control, budgeting, and provide accounting support to the Chief Accountant.

• Working Location: Ho Chi Minh City
• Monthly Salary: Negotiable (High Gross Salary)

Responsibilities:

• Handle general accounting tasks, including transaction recording, account reconciliation, month-end and year-end closing, and maintenance of accounting records.
• Record, review, and analyze accounting transactions in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and company policies.
• Prepare accounting schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, management reports, and support the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Prepare and review VAT, PIT, CIT, FCT, GTM, and other tax declarations, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
• Monitor changes in tax and accounting regulations and support tax audits, inspections, and inquiries from relevant authorities.
• Ensure accounting activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and legal requirements.
• Identify accounting and compliance risks and propose appropriate corrective actions.
• Participate in internal and external audits and prepare statutory reports for relevant authorities.
• Assist the Chief Accountant in daily accounting operations and coordinate with other departments on accounting, tax, and financial matters.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, analyze actual results against budget, and provide financial data and analysis for business decisions.
• Support finance, accounting, compliance, and internal control projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Accountant.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• English -  Business Level.
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including experience working in FDI companies.
• Experience handling tax audits and statutory audits.
• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, enterprise accounting systems, and internal control principles.
• Good Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems; experience with Sage or SAP is preferred.
• High integrity, strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proactive, organized, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Chief Accountant Certificate is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or trading companies is an advantage.
