DESCRIPTION A. DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES A. Sales and Distribution
Overall P&L & cashflow responsibilities of the business units in multiple countries.
Create annual and monthly sales, distribution, availability and credit collection plans by referring to historical data and set targets per customer, township, region, salesman, branch and channel.
Conduct weekly reviews with the sales teams and monthly reviews with the BOD covering the aforementioned variables.
Ensure achievement or budgeted sales and distribution targets
Analyze trends and data for areas of potential growth and execute strategies to achieve that growth.
Monitor overall brand health in the market and ensures customers are not overloaded with stocks
Responsible for proposing credit limits and credit collection management.
Monitor & record competitor activity reports
Drive range selling over demand selling.
B. Supply Chain and Logistics Management
Ownership of demand planning based on historical depletions and forecasted targets, factoring in shipment lead times and import procedures to ensure optimal inventory.
Place POs based on sales forecasts and inventory level whilst maintaining economic cashflow.
Monitor customer delivery KPI’s and performance of logistics teams.
Oversee customer delivery route planning to improve efficiency of logistics function.
C. Marketing
Responsible for marketing activities in multiple countries and oversee the development and execution of marketing activities to support the business strategy and achieve overall marketing KPIs
Ensure marketing activations are executed on time and within budget
Ensure marketing activations are analyzed and reported on in a timely manner to ensure best practices are taken down and followed in future activations.
D. Human Resource/People Management
Ensuring that Human Resources Management is effectively managed in terms of selection and recruitment, incentives and motivation, disciplines in line with human resource strategy of the company.
In accordance with BOD’s direction, recruit personnel, negotiates professional contracts, and ensure appropriate salary structures are maintained according to market benchmarks.
Undertake and record regular performance reviews with all staff
Understand and implement leadership responsibilities and accountabilities across the organization
Assures a work environment that recruits, retains and supports quality talent. Assures process for selecting, development, motivating, and evaluating staff and management level.
Specifies accountabilities (KPIs) for management personnel and evaluates their performance regularly and ensure the appropriate reward / reprimand policies are in place.
Responsible to make decisions relating to HR policies for the company by obtaining buy in of all Directors and other stakeholders.
Maintain clear and updated organization structure is maintained for the Company including all factories and BU’s.
Guide HR to set KPI’s for all departments, with rewards and recognition programs.
Guide establishment of hiring policies, setting a company culture, employee retention/ training and growth plan.
E. Technology & Business Intelligence
Lead all technology solutions implementation and transformation projects within the organization including ERP backend system and constant improvements to the frontline software.
Manage the IT team within the organization to ensure development of systems, procedures and policies in alignment with business operations to enable technology usage and ensure data security.
Promote usage and adoption of technology solutions within the business operations.
Ensure BI team and managers are able to access required data smoothly in order to make data driven decision.
F. Operations Management & Reporting
Responsible to manage all commercial, sales & distribution, supply chain/ logistics and head office operations.
Manage, in collaboration with S&D Heads, country wise Distribution and Logistics operations to ensure achievement of sales targets and delivery of goods to customers.
Responsible to manage Sales A/R and Collection nationwide ensuring outstanding credit is within the defined target limits.
Participate in Quarterly Activation discussion to align sales and marketing functions.
Participate in monthly manufacturing review to understand production issues and any impact on Sales.
Lead the monthly sales and collection plan meetings and report to the BOD.
Participate in Management, Executive Committee and Strategic Planning meetings to and provide inputs based on the business operations and future operational transformations.
Manage and maintain Annual and Monthly budgets for the business units and other business functions under direct management.
Review and submit Budget v/s Actual performance reports on a monthly and quarterly basis to BOD and prepare monthly reports for principals according to their requirements
Participate in meetings related to consolidated P&L and Cashflow to understand financial performance of the business and devise strategic operational initiatives to improve performance.
Lead Marketing team to evaluate marketing activities and their effectiveness in driving sales.
Make market visits as per requirements to understand the market situation and customer needs to devise relevant strategies for product development in concurrence with the BOD.
Key responsibility to resolve any conflicts and internal operations matters within the various departments.
G. Risk Management & Compliance
Ensuring a strong Risk, Compliance and Governance Framework is embedded across the organization
Ensure that the right skills, mind-sets, and systems are in place to continuously assess and mitigate risks of all business units
Identify operational risks, ensure mitigation strategies are in place, and as appropriate, take action to minimize any actual or potential impact
Ensure appropriate risk diversification and fully responsible for the quality of customer credit.
Bachelor’s degree or master degree in a relevant discipline or MBA.
Over 15 years of working experience inclusive of 5–7 years in Senior Executive Management position in similar organization;
