1. Demand Intelligence & Forecast Validation
- Receive demand plans, order schedules, and forecast updates; clarify assumptions and demand drivers behind Sales’ forecast.
- Analyze historical demand patterns; identify abnormalities, risks, opportunities, and underlying trends.
- Provide clear explanations of demand changes and their implications to Supply Chain for IBP/S&OP cycles.
2. Challenge & Partner with Commercial
- Challenge Sales’ forecast using historical data, customer behaviour, and capacity constraints to ensure realistic demand assumptions.
- Validate demand fluctuations to avoid expectation-based or biased forecasting.
- Highlight gaps or inconsistencies in customer plans and align assumptions with internal capabilities.
3. Integrate Market Signals
- Collect and summarize key market indicators such as market size, growth rate, and category trends.
- Gather Market Research & Retail Data (Nielsen, Kantar, POS, distributor sell-out where available).
- Analyze growth drivers across customers, channels, and categories.
- Identify factors driving growth or decline including price, mix, distribution, promotion, and competitor activities.
- Integrate market data to enhance a market-driven demand outlook.
- Present Monthly Market Insights Pack including key trends, risk–opportunity mapping, and cross-functional recommendations.
4. Support Supply Chain Decision-Making
- Provide early warnings of unexpected or abnormal demand changes.
- Provide data-driven insights to support production, capacity, and inventory planning.
- Prepare consolidated demand inputs for S&OP and internal planning meetings.
- Ensure Supply Chain operates with an updated, validated, and consolidated demand view.
5. Analytics & Reporting
- Develop dashboards and automated reports for demand, forecast accuracy, and customer behaviour.
- Standardize demand-related data flows and KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Demand Planning, Sales Operations, Supply Chain Planning, or Commercial Analysis.
- Experience working with demand data, forecast validation, and customer/SKU trend analysis.
- Prefer experience in OEM environments or indirect customer-facing collaboration.
- Advanced analytical skills; proficient in Excel and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of forecasting logic and B2B demand drivers.
- Clear, effective communication and data-driven challenging.
- Proven cross-functional collaboration (SC, Sales, MI).
- Structured, detail-oriented, with strong business insight.
