We are looking for a Tax Manager/ Assistant Manager to manage tax-related responsibilities within one of our businesses. This individual will be a key player in handling tax issues and submission processes, working closely with internal teams and ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations. This role requires an amicable, collaborative attitude to work effectively with different departments and stakeholders across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1/ Tax Compliance & Submission:
Ensure timely and accurate submission of all local and national tax filings (e.g., VAT, GST, corporate income tax returns, withholding tax, etc.).
Oversee and ensure Tax (VAT/ PIT/ Customs etc.,) compliance across entity
Prepare and manage tax computations, supporting documents, and ensure alignment with relevant regulations.
Assist in managing tax audits and liaising with external tax consultants and authorities.
2/ Tax Advisory & Planning:
Provide advice on tax planning strategies and assist in identifying potential tax-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance.
Assess and interpret tax regulations related to our import-export operations, including food processing and manufacturing activities.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant.
3/ Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with finance, legal, procurement, and operations teams to ensure effective tax compliance in day-to-day operations.
Provide training and guidance to relevant departments on tax-related matters.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve any tax-related issues and improve processes.
4/ Reporting and Documentation
Maintain accurate and organized records of all legal and compliance-related documents and correspondence.
Prepare regular reports for senior management on legal and compliance activities and developments.
5/ Handling Tax Issues:
Take responsibility for identifying, resolving, and escalating complex tax issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Ensure proactive management of tax matters related to import-export transactions, ensuring proper handling of duties and tariffs.
6/ Government Relations
Establish and maintain positive relationships with government authorities and regulatory bodies.
Act as the primary point of contact for legal and compliance matters when dealing with external stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field (a professional tax qualification is a plus).
Proven experience in Tax management or similar role, preferably in a B2B environment within the food processing or manufacturing sector.
Strong experience with tax submissions, handling tax-related issues, and liaising with tax authorities.
In-depth knowledge of tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, customs duties, and international taxation.
Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
