The main responsibilities are to assist in teaching, research activities and administrative affairs.
1. Support in teaching activities:
Assisting in teaching (average 4 - 8 academic hour/week)
Formulating plan and contents of tutorials and carrying out tutorials and exercises
Maintaining and developing database of lecture slides, examinations and exercises
Supervise Bachelor's and Co-supervise Master theses
Contributing to the development and implementation of other course programs in consultation with the study program coordinator and the partner university, as assigned by the supervisor
Supervising of students in their study projects and final theses
2. Research activities and projects:
Assisting in research, prepare research proposals: working on research project(s) assigned by the supervisor, and assisting in and contributing to the overall research of the research group
3. Support in administrative affairs:
Ensuring the smooth running of equipment necessary to achieve the aims of the lectures and exercises (e.g. computers, software packages, electronic journals, library)
Preparing and managing correspondence, documents and reports
Implementing and maintaining office and filing systems
Supporting the flying faculty in terms of organization of the stay and implementation of the lectures, exercises and practical
Maintaining the homepage of the study program
Taking, typing and distributing minutes of meetings
Organizing and coordinating of internal and external events (meetings, conferences, research seminars, mini courses, travel arrangements)
Acting as invigilator for exams of all study programs, if required
Participating the student recruitment and accreditation activities.
Job Requirement
1. Qualifications: Master's degree in Economics/ Econometrics/ Data Science
2. Experiences:
Experience in teaching support is preferable
Experience in working with industry is preferable
Prior publications on refereed journals are preferable.
Research interests in Retirement or Entrepreneurship or Finance
3. Knowledge: Good knowledge in related Macroeconomics and Econometrics
4. Skills
English skills: at least equivalent to IELTS 6.5
A good demonstration of academic research experience
Experience with statistical software such as STATA and programing languages such as Python and Matlab
5. Behaviours required
Ability to work independently, systematically and in a practice-oriented manner
Ability to work on own initiatives and to deadlines
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to present information to groups as well as individuals
Capacity to work under pressure to tight deadlines
